I stay at home w/ cancer complications. Anyone have inexpensive ideas to help promote a home business?

My mind works great, the body not so much. I run an eBay store and another home business. Because I can’t get out in the community, I need to find some inexpensive and hopefully ingenious ways to promote my businesses. Does anyone have ideas or experience with this? I tried to develop a yahoo web page, but even my BA in business didn’t help… I was lost!
I have an eBay Store that I have run for 5+ years and I am just getting into MyPowerMall. I need ways to bring in more clients. I tried Yahoo Geocities and have designed a page I love… but can’t seem to get it where anyone else can see it. 8-(

Building a website can be helpful. Some assistance or study in web design is useful. Content is important so you can receive targeted traffic. I use an amazing web host that trains and assists through the proper steps of building a website. My wife has a BA in business as well. She could not have done it without assistance either. Now, with training it has come to be somewhat natural. I suggest looking for assistance in web design or check out some good books and study on your own. First off, make a website. Make it a good one, too. The more appealing the website, the more interest. There are lots of great web hosting services at low costs; try Yahoo Geocities. If you are having trouble designing a website you can find people on the web who can design one for you. But considering the internet is HUGE, and unlikely that very many people will find it. So you will need to promote your website. You could put an ad on some websites, maybe even in a newspaper. What kind of business do you have?

If you are looking for ways to just PROMOTE your business which I’m sure I read it right, try these places…

- Create a MySpace profile and promote your biz there.
- Go onto the forums and promote it there too.
- Answer peoples posts on forums with GREAT, useable knowledge, and have a 2 line plug promoting your biz.
- Go onto the message boards and do the same thing as I mentioned above with the forums.
- Upload some slideshows onto youtube showing your products and at the end, or during the slideshow, have a picture with your link. Do this for like ever 6 items you display.
( You can create a “director” account on youtube for free )
( This allows you to upload longer videos )
